Microsoft and Federated OCS/LCS Partners Connectivity Outage Notification


Description:  Microsoft will be upgrading the External Access Proxy which controls the communication between the Microsoft OCS 2007 system and its Federated Partners OCS or LCS systems.

Affected Users:  This outage will prevent users from either Microsoft or its Federated Partners from being able to communicate with each other with Office Communicator.

Start Date/Time: 12/01/2007  12:00am PST

End Date/Time:  12/01/2007  4:00am PST

Services Affected:

· IM and Presence

· OCS – Collaboration

· Communicator Web Access

Impact: All services will be impacted during the upgrade.

Next Update Date:  If the work is completed during the scheduled time then no new communications will occur.  If the work is not completed or there are any issues then a follow up to this email will be sent.  The work window above does not imply the work will take that long, as the actual downtime will be very minimal.
