Contact?

If you run Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 SP1 or Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 (hopefully ;-) and connected your AP or Edge servers to the internet... we can get in contact!

Step 1. Fill in my name joachim.farla@e-office.com (my SIP account is the same as my SMTP address)

Step 2. Drop me in your contact list! And live!

So, very simple! Do not hesitate to contact me by IM. I'am always in for a technical issue or just working things out generally. By the way you can also contact me through the public website of e-office at link

dont you need to be federated to do that? (i'm on ocs2007)

federation is open at our side. So the old feature called clearing house is back available. So we do not work with any allow/deny list or something. In public DNS we have a SRV records to query our Edge Server.

That's very fantastic but what in the case if we can't install OCS? I'm still having problems installing this product, altought I don't really know if my AD and DNS is right. I guess it is well installed but the installation wouldn't continue succesfully...

hmm it doesn't work, my admin doesn't know how to set that 'clearing house' feature. even our tanjay fones are not properly updated with the update server. so we can't even use that at home.. sighs..

hmm we can fix. Again clearing house is an feature of LCS. Connect to your Access Edge en go to tab: Access Methods / allow discovery of federation partners check both options. Restart your Edge Services and then it must be up and running.
